Stumpin' with Puff Daddy!
(Preview)
well, I took the blowgun and dog and went stump shooting today. Not as much fun as the bow, but sure beat sitting home. I have the bamboo shish-ka-bob skewers tuned up pretty well, and look forward to shooting with you guys again in April.

Rumors..
(Preview)
...of my demise are premature. The surgery went well yesterday, and I'm sitting here bored stiff. Still stoned on whatever they gave me, sore as hell, and trying to do everything one-handed. Ain't life fun?

Blowguns, Wings and Home Depot
(Preview)
Well, Mr Nail shot the course with his blowgun and done pretty well I'd say.He was joking that several bowyers would likely go into bankruptcy since he won't be buying any for a while. Rumor has it that there will likely be an open slot in the hog hunt to Shilo due to John's surgery. I sure wish I could go but...

Eucalyptus
(Preview)
I done some snooping around Home Depots website and found their dowels are made by Waddell Dowel Company. I went to Waddell's website and snooped around and using the bar code numbers from the tag on the dowels I bought found that the wood is Eucalyptus. Native to Australia but has been passed around th...

(Preview)
I am making a spear for 3D (I figure there must be some "spear chucker " blood in my family) but I don't want to mess up the $ targets. Should I "foot" the thing with a detachable target shaft, or just stump shoot while you guys work the targets? Been thinking of tapering it down enoug...

A solution?
(Preview)
Well I went to Lowe's and picked up a 5/16th x 48" solid fiberglass shaft, and a 1" Poplar dowell. Ran the tip of the shaft through my sanding jig to put a point taper on it, and fletched it with some junk uncut yellow feathers I had. The shaft was bright red to begin with. Hacked on the dowell unt...
