Kenny and I went to Whitewater to bowfish today. The crick is full of Yuppie flyfishermen. We managed to shoot 3 big gar. Only saw one carp. Fun though!

my 1st try and i dont even know if it shoots yet ,but will try it tomarrow. i made my nock from osage and my point is from the stuff i made the knives from. the point also weighed 220gr but will go down some when i sharpen it. we are going to stump up at atterbury if anyone wants to join us . kinda short notice but we will be where they hold the shoots at, at 9:00 tomarrow morning . should be fun!!!!

i meet up with old man cowles tonight and shot at b-town. i told him to leave his bow at home and just bring some arrows .when i got there he was waiting like a kid a christmas . he really liked the new bow and wasn't exspecting me to give it to him ,but i felt it the least i could do to repay him for helping me cut...

new bows

dennes , i got my hickory bow up to 55# @ 27 now . i had to cut an inch off each end and put some bend in the ends. seems pretty fast for hickory . i also have 2 osage bows im about done with . one is 60" and 55# @ 27, and the other one is 56" and 47# @ 27 . i think i'll give the 55#osage bow to jim later this wee...

Today's shoot

Well it was sure enough a hot one!
I enjoyed shooting-and laughing- with the crew. It Seems we have a good time, no matter how sorry we shoot. Good to meet Steve's new Lady, and I Enjoyed shooting with the Cowles Clan again.
Hope everyone had a good time.

dennis ,i shot my hickory bow a few times today. seems to shoot pretty good for an airplane propeller.... i dont have a rest and only used my tillering string to shoot but was still hitting pretty good at 15 yds. i still got to stain and seal it but my have it done in time to shoot it saturday? its right arou...

John French Jim Critney Jerry Smith and I went stumpin' today at John's woods. We missed a few, hit a few, and found the World's largest patch of Stinging Nettles.
