I talked to Dave Mead on the phone and invited him up. He can't make Sept. but will try and come to next years winter shoots.
I'm very curious about these bows. They say nothings new in archery but these seem to be in a class by themselves.
I'm interested to see how they perform and hold up. Being in kit form a lot of the responsibility falls on the guy that finishes them.
I know that if you built one it would be a keeper. I think maybe with my humble experience I could probably pull it off too.
I don't know if the glue comes with it but I will find out what the strongest available is. I might not use artificial sinew when Kevlar is easily obtained.
We both know what good tiller looks like and I'll check that too and make sure there are no areas on the limbs that will be prone to failure.
I like the idea that they are very affordable. Anyone wanting to get into prim. class can jump right in without going out and cut down a dang tree.
Anyway it will be fun to play around with and being as I get to finish it, it will truly be my bow.
I think I'll take it up to Gun World for the winter league where some of the best shooters around are.
