Had a great time this fall at Farmland. Reuniting with great friends was a lot of fun. Randy Grider made it up for the first time and says he will go back. His Grandson mason made a good showing with a first and second place trophy.
Jose, he is 8, he shoots an old, beatup Bear Super magnum, 48" AMO, 40#@28 ", he probably draws about 30# at his draw length. Little feller does not struggle with it either, and it flat flings an arrow. Bueaty of it is, he can grow in to it to adulthood. When he shoots kids bows he complains they are wimpy ! He has been shooting since I got him a "Black Rhino" longbow at age 2, so he is an old salt at this game. The Black Rhino bows are a god deal, they will give you a good buy back when they outgrow them, I still have his first one though, as it keeps getting handed down.
I have been told, im a better teacher than a student, and my shooting proves it....... :(
Oh, and I am actually doing something in my pic, no not imaginary, im untangling my grandson's fishing line...see rod/reel behind me ? I first thought, "what the hell am I doing frying imaginary eggs in an imaginary skillet on an imaginary stove ? Nope, pulling off tangled line and trashing it. Good pics dale, and thanks for a good time !
