Hope you guys can make this shoot, Folks this is a very important shoot as a memorial to Tyler, and as a fund raiser for NASP. All monies raised from the raffle of donated items will be ear-marked to buy any needed equipment for a local school. Boyle county School will be helping at our shoot, as they have at the KyTradFest for the long shot and aireals. I have great pride in KTBA for its efforts in raising thousands of dollars over the years for such a worthy charity, having actually gotten several schools started in NASP that otherwise would have never been able.
Its not necessary to bring items, or even bid, but its very much appreciated.
Two very fine custom bows, a "Herwaybow", made by Kevin Brown , and a "Cooked Stik" made by Mike Miller have been donated to be raffled ! So here is your chance to win a really nice bow for a $10 raffle ticket !
This will be a 30 target, realistic hunting shots course to prepare you for upcoming deer season.
I plan to set some nice targets, and it will be unlimited rounds, so load up, and come down.
Looks like several pitching in on food as well, im hearing pork ass (Boston butts), and I plan to bring a pot of soup beans, KTBA furnishing burgers and hotdogs, others contributing as well. Eating prices are strictly donations.
It will be fun, and will be for a good cause so please try and attend.
We have one from Alabama wanting to camp Friday night, so I believe I will as well. I know its impromptu, but that makes it even better, so bring a tent and join us down by the creek bottom !
Bill Wilcox bring pork butts for saturday, ill be getting potatoe salad, baked beans, and club will be fixing burgers and hotdogs. i heard someone say Bob was bringing venison chili, but thius is just heresay. Sounds like we have a decent crowd coming
Randy, I was planning to bring my clan down but I just found out I have to work tomorrow. I hope you have a good turn out, I'm sure it'll be a good time!
A special thanks to all you ITBA guys for a strong showing at the Tyler Roberts shoot. You turned out in force, and donated generously. Have not got the final tally, but expect somewhere around $2,000 raised for NASP ! Scott Roberts, Tyler's dad made a $1,000 donation alone, im sure the donated bows and items would have raised another thousand. This is KTBA's shining pride, we have several KY schools that are active in NASP due to these efforts, you can all be proud. There are many kids that cant find a spot in sports, that excel at archery. This is our legacy, this is our mentorship, this is our future, and you guys and gals keep it going. So from me, and all the KTBA members, I say "Thank you, god bless, and many more years to come ! "
