just got a call from a lady, from the discovery channel. they are looking for a professional hunter, ( leaves you out den-den ) to be on a show, similar to survival shows where they go out with another person, who is a chef , they kill something and then the chef cooks it, in a survival method. she is going to send me an e-mail with more specifics. if you are interested in something like this, give me a shout and e-mail me at laff-coyote@twc.com and when I get her e-mail I will send it to you. I would like to see someone from our club on big time tv. that would be a blast..
Most of us are getting a bit long in the tooth for such an endeavor but someone like Matt Caudill would be good and one I can personally vouch for is Clint Williams. He shoots bow at our club and flintlock rifles at our gun club, was raised in the woods and can literally live off nothing.

My vote would be Joe Lacefield. He is a wildlife biologist near here, in Woodford county KY. Some of you may know Joe from the KTBA shoots. He grew up on KY river, he hunts fishes, traps, an excellent hunter and longbow shot, usually placing in the top if not winning at our shoots. he has now got in to building his own selfbows, and already has several kills under his belt. He is also an excellent photographer. You might find some haired out buckskin wearing dude that would look more the part, but I doubt seriously you will find anyone that can actually survive the wilderness better. He is the kind of guy that actually feeds his family from his outdoor pursuits.
Discovery channel doesn't want someone who actually can live off the grid: They want someone who looks the part, has "Charisma" and will sell advertising space...... Applicants must see well, and look good.
