"Yesteday, December 7 1941 -a day that will live in infamy-..."
And so it started one of the most glorious chapters in the history of this great country. One that saw the country fight like a mad dog for itself and the rest of the world and helped established it as the top dog... position that we are sadly slowly relinquishing today.
But, as the saying goes: those running up front are never safe if those running behind have stamina. And, America has stamina and resolve. We just need the right leaders to lead us to the front again.
Sadly very few of those brave men and women of those glorious days survive today. We will never forget them.
My father in law who now lives with us is 91 yrs old now and was just 18 when Pearl was attacked. Think about that. The number of WW2 veterans has to be shrinking at an exponential rate. I know at times he can drive his daughter and her sisters nuts but I give the man a pass on such matters. He and his kind literally saved the World... the World ! We will never see that sort of determination again.... ever.

I agree Flint. never will so many people sacrifice so much to right world wrongs. It has always been the "greatest Generation " to me. My own generation sickens me, never mind the two after it.
