John, I followed your suggestion. Grouper cheeks, baked Yukon gold potato, Le Seur peas, fresh tomato, and pickle. It was good. Wish you could have had some.
John that mater came from the farmer market that they have on the weekends in N.A. I have no idea where they got it but it was pretty good.
Jr. grouper aint got butts. Them cheeks came off their faces. Grouper is good, grouper cheeks are great. Specially with a dab of Mike Linnings tarter.
John them Le Seurer peas are my favorite. They are expensive buy you can get a six pack at Sams Club cheaper.
My all time favorite peas were the ones where the can had an oldtime football guy kicking a football. Their one more of the great things gone forever.
Another one that I can't find anymore is the Big Johns baked beans that came in a two can pack. When we was young we used to get them for special occasions like birthdays and such.
One time we were all down in hoosier national campin and deer huntin. A guy pulled up in a truck and asked Ronald if anyone had any Big Johns Beans he could buy off us.
Ronald said we probably got some beans he could have but he didn't know what kind.
He said no they gotta be Big Johns. He said they came in for lunch and was sittin around the cabin relaxing afterwards and somebody looked out the window and a monster buck was out by the fire pit licking up the last of the Big Johns out of the pan.
He said they needed some to take in the woods for bait.
