Number 2 doe for Drew. Steep downward shot about 10 yards from his tree. Muzzy/Eichler head went in the rib cage and exited between her front legs. Lots of damage but very little blood as the exit wound was blocked with jellied lung material and who knows what else. We bumped her out of her bed and then backed out for 2.5 hours. Found small amounts of blood every 15 to 20 feet, but stayed on her. We had to re-group several times, make some small circles to hit the blood trail again, but we finally found her tucked in another bed up in the tops of a downed ash tree, dead in her bed. Proud of the kid, made a good shot, but even more proud that he made the move to back out and give her time and proud that he was dogged enough to stick it out when the trail got tough.
