Police Commission William Bratton promised Wednesday at a pre-Ramadan conference at NYPD headquarters in Manhattan to protect the rights of the citys Muslims.

"You have my pledge as commissioner we will not to jeopardize that trust that all our efforts are geared toward increasing, Bratton said to dozens of Muslim leaders at 1 Police Plaza. You also have my pledge that we will continue to ensure policing is lawful, constitutional, effective and respectful.

He explained that the NYPD would be distributing a detailed guide to help officers understand Ramadan and the pillars of Islam.

Think about that, the Department of Education has a special law enforcement division! El Paso, Texas (CBS HOUSTON) The Department of Homeland Security is looking to fulfill an order for thousands of pairs of mens underwear with hundreds of the requested mens briefs in the 5X and 6X-large sizes.
A solicitation posted earlier this month by the Immigration & Customs Enforcement office seeks thousands of White 100% Cotton Mens Briefs ranging from mediums to hundreds of 6X-large pairs of the underwear.
ICE facilities have seen a recent influx of detained immigrants awaiting deportation, during which time, the detention facilities require such basic items for the detained aliens, Breitbart reported. The ICE orders for the underwear are not unusual for the immigration detention facilities, according to ICE officials.
This [request for quote] is a normal solicitation for routinely procured items needed at ICE-owned detention facilities around the country, an ICE spokesperson explained to Breitbart News on Monday. At ICE-owned detention facilities, the agency is required to provide basic necessities in order to feed and clothe detained aliens.

Washington Rep. Chris Stewart, R-Utah, introduced legislation on Monday that would prohibit non-law enforcement agencies in the federal government from buying high-power firearms or weaponry as part of a response to the April standoff between the Bureau of Land Management and rancher Cliven Bundy.

Stewart says theres no reason for regulatory agencies to have paramilitary units like the ones present when the BLM, under a court order, attempted to round up cattle on federal lands. The BLM eventually gave up after facing an armed response by Bundy supporters.

Rep. Chris Stewart, R-Utah, has introduced a bill that would ban most federal agencies from having miltiary-style enforcement powers.

Stewarts bill repeals the authority for inspectors general in federal agencies from having arrest or firearm powers an authority granted to the in-house investigators in creating the Homeland Security Department. It also bars agencies outside the Justice Department, CIA, Homeland Security, Capitol Police and military from purchasing machine guns, grenades and other weapons banned under law.

The United Nations is gearing up for gun confiscation in the event of a societal collapse in numerous countries by hiring disarmament, demobilization and reintegration officers who will be trained to seize guns from the civilian population.

A posting on the United Nations Career Opportunities page announces a vacancy for the position of Disarmament, Demobilization and Reintegration Officer under the UNs Department of Peacekeeping Operations based out of New York.

The UNs page on DDR operations explains what role the DDR officer will be expected to undertake;

Disarmament is the collection, documentation, control and disposal of small arms, ammunition, explosives and light and heavy weapons from combatants and often from the civilian population.

Demobilization is the formal and controlled discharge of active combatants from armed forces and groups, including a phase of reinsertion which provides short-term assistance to ex-combatants.

Reintegration is the process by which ex-combatants acquire civilian status and gain sustainable employment and income. It is a political, social and economic process with an open time-frame, primarily taking place in communities at the local level.

The objective of the DDR process is to contribute to security and stability in post-conflict environments so that recovery and development can begin. DDR helps create an enabling environment for political and peace processes by dealing with security problem that arises when ex-combatants are trying to adjust to normal life, during the vital transition period from conflict to peace and development.

On Friday, Florida Gov. Rick Scott (R) signed a bill that prohibits schools from disciplining students who play with simulated weapons, The Miami Herald reported.

Lawmakers approved the so-called "Pop-Tart" bill after an 8-year-old Maryland boy earned a suspension for biting a Pop-Tart into the shape of a gun last year.

The boy later received a lifetime membership to the National Rifle Association, which supported the legislation.

State Sen. Greg Evers (R), who sponsored the legislation, said it would prevent situations "where you chew a Pop-Tart into the shape of a gun and you are expelled" from school, according to the Herald.

Asked if any similar incidents had occurred in Florida, Evers cited a student who was expelled in his district.

"Two kids were sitting down reading a book and there was a picture of a Wild Wild West show and one person has a gun," he told the Herald in April. "One student tells another student that he's got a cap gun at home that's the same as the one in the picture. The teacher sent him to the principal and he was expelled."

With his approval rating at 40 percent, down 6 points from early June, and just 29 percent of Americans convinced the country is on the right track, the president is doubling down on his strategy of blaming Republicans for his failures. And hes shifting into hyperpartisan drive, traveling the country to campaign for Democrats, many of whom wish hed just stay away.

Worse, the news just keeps getting well, worse: The Veterans Affairs scandal is blazing, with new horrific details emerging weekly; Congress is gathering kindling on the IRS scandal, which sends shivers of fear up the spines of wobbly Democrats; House Speaker John Boehner is fired up and plans to sue the president for his unilateral (and constitutionally banned) executive actions; and the rest of the world looks about to burst into flames.

A little-known police tactic allows cops to covertly enter private residences, perform searches, seize property, and then leave quietly without notifying the homeowner. These searches, affectionately known as sneak and peek warrants, have been performed at a rapidly rising rate since 9/11.

Covert Tactics

Sneak and Peek warrants in actuality a more extreme version of the over-used no-knock raids that we cover so often. After seeking out a judges authorization, police are allowed to secretly break into private property without first announcing themselves or presenting the subject of the search with a signed warrant. Using this variety of warrant, officers intentionally wait until the subject is not present. The operations are performed covertly, and with the intention of masking the fact that any police activity took place.

The entire premise encourages government agents to adopt the tactics of criminals in order to gain access to property: breaking and entering, sneaking around, stealing, and risking a surprise confrontation with an unsuspecting civilian.

Often, the investigators leave the property undisturbed to avoid detection. After taking what they want and/or leaving wiretaps, cameras, or other planted devices, they exit quietly so as not to raise suspicions.

Sometimes, however, the agents literally stage the scenes to resemble robberies sneak and stealoperations. In one 2010 case, federal investigators broke into an Cleveland apartment, collected evidence, and then trashed the place to make it look like a burglary.

The feds have used similar tactics when searching vehicles. According to a Department of Justice document, DEA agents used a delayed-notice warrant to literally steal a suspects car in March 2004. After following the suspect to a restaurant in Buffalo, NY, one agent used a duplicate key to enter the vehicle and drive away while other agents spread broken glass in the parking space to create the impression that the vehicle had been stolen. One bit of ACA lawlessness, however, may prove a bridge too far. The administration has been giving subsidies to those who sign up through the federal exchange. The ACA limits subsidies to plans on the state exchanges.

This case will reach the Supreme Court. It is hard to see how the court could do anything other than overturn the federal-exchange subsidies. The court might even have a word to say about the administrations 22 (or is it 37?) other acts of post-facto rewriting of the ACA.

Perhaps. But until then, the imperial president rules.

Having been supine for years in the face of these encroachments, Congress is stirring. The Republican House is preparing a novel approach to acquiring legal standing before the courts to challenge these gross executive usurpations. Nancy Pelosi, reflecting the narrowness of both her partisanship and her vision, dismisses this as a subterfuge.

She wont be saying that on the day Democrats lose the White House. Then, cheered on by a suddenly inflamed media, the Democrats will no doubt express horror at such constitutional overreach.

At which point, the temptation to stick it to the Democrats will be overwhelming.

At which point, Lord give us strength.

Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar. Officials expect Ramadan to begin at sunrise on Saturday, depending on when the new moon is sighted. The holy month lasts for approximately 30 days until about July 28. For Muslims around the world, Ramadan is a month of fasting and devotion to God. Most Muslims fast from dawn to sunset, when families gather for Iftar the meal that breaks the fast.

For the 8,200 U.S. personnel living here, and those serving throughout the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility including servicemembers, civilian personnel, contractors and family members the month may require changing some daily routines.

Businesses and government offices will reduce hours and most restaurants will be closed during daylight hours.

While not required to fast during Ramadan, in Bahrain, Americans can be fined or detained by local authorities for eating, drinking or smoking in public when off-base during daylight hours.

Navy officials are requiring U.S. personnel to dress more conservatively off-base during Ramadan. Although not a requirement by Bahraini authorities, the Navy is demanding that men wear long-sleeved shirts and women wear sleeved blouses that cover their elbows. Also, men must wear long trousers, and women should wear pants or skirts that cover the knees.

Base cultural advisers have spent the last few weeks conducting Ramadan briefs to educate Americans about the holy month. Ali Hassan briefed about 150 personnel Tuesday about Islam, the lunar calendar and customs and traditions during Ramadan.

A government-contracted security force threatened to arrest doctors and nurses if they divulged any information about the contagion threat at a refugee camp housing illegal alien children at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas, sources say.

In spite of the threat, several former camp workers broke their confidentiality agreements and shared exclusive details with me about the dangerous conditions at the camp. They said taxpayers deserve to know about the contagious diseases and the risks the children pose to Americans. I have agreed to not to disclose their identities because they fear retaliation and prosecution.

My sources say Americans should be very concerned about the secrecy of the government camps.
There were several of us who wanted to talk about the camps, but the agents made it clear we would be arrested, a psychiatric counselor told me. We were under orders not to say anything.

The sources said workers were guarded by a security force from the Baptist Family & Childrens Services, which the Department of Health and Human Services hired to run the Lackland Camp.

The sources say security forces called themselves the Brown Shirts.

It was a very submissive atmosphere, the counselor said. Once you stepped onto the grounds, you abided by their laws the Brown Shirt laws.

She said the workers were stripped of their cellphones and other communication devices. Anyone caught with a phone was immediately fired.

Everyone was paranoid, she said. The children had more rights than the workers.

She said children in the camp had measles, scabies, chicken pox and strep throat as well as mental and emotional issues.

It was not a good atmosphere in terms of health, she said. I would be talking to children and lice would just be climbing down their hair.

Bowe Bergdhal, and the familiar issue of the Affordable Care Act.

I submit that Barack Hussein Obamas unilateral negotiations with terrorists and the ensuing release of their key leadership without consult mandated by law with the U.S. Congress represents high crimes and misdemeanors, an impeachable offense, former Rep. Allen West, R-Fla., wrote on his website in June.

South Dakotas Republican Party passed a resolution at its June convention calling for Obamas impeachment for violating his oath of office in numerous ways.

We wanted to have a shot across the bow to the president and Congress that nobody is above the law, said Dr. Allen Unruh, the delegate who sponsored the resolution. Our goal is to embolden Congress.

Unruh said he has a thick book on impeachable offenses of the president. This man, this repeated law breaker, was allowed to be released and he continued breaking the laws in our country until what???? UNTIL HE WAS STOPPED BY MY SON IN A HEAD ON COLLISION THAT NEVER SHOULD HAVE HAPPENED!!!! HE KILLED AN OFFICER OF THE LAW AS HIS LAST ACT!!! When are you going to see the flip side to this issue? When will you realize the hurt and pain and destruction these illegal immigrants who break the law will continue to cause???? Until you live in a state that deals with this on a daily basis, you will not understand it.
