What Would/ Will You Do??

It is being reported that the president is going to enact gun laws by Presidental Edict instead of going throjgh Congress. With a swipe of his pen, he is going to outlaw a number of guns. Those He deems are not needed or shouldnt be owned.

Once this edict is rendered the local authorities will be collecting your guns . I dont know if they will ho door to door or force you to bring them in.

As an AMERICAN what are YOU going to do???

Technically he can't do this through an executive order, it's not allowed, he can ban import of ammo and guns with EO.

No telling this guy what he can and can't do, I expect that type of strike of the pen will change this country immediately, and is exactly why the second amendment is there is the first place - to protect us from a tyrannical government.

It's bad ju-ju to be posting what I'll do, but I'm sure all the criminal will be the first one to the police department no

I have been a police officer for 21 years and currently am the Chief of Police for a small agency in SE Indiana, starting my 10th year in that position. What I can say is this, local authorities do not have the jurisdiction to enforce federal laws or rules and regulations. Unless every town marshal, county sheriff deputy, and city patrolman is sworn in as a Federal law enforcement officer, we CANNOT enforce federal law. The logistics of having every gun owner turn in whatever gun the president has on his list would be unenforceable and almost impossible to coordinate. In the event of some freakish act where this crap becomes an unlikely reality, I for one will publicly state that I would refuse to enforce it and would sacrifice my job and career in doing do. I am a firm believer in the 2nd amendment.

I started writing a short story some time ago that involves this scenario. I guess I need to get back on that.

Buried guns aren't any more use than confiscated ones.

Folks are trying to schedule a rally at the state capital on the 19th, day of our next shoot, I'm feeling compelled to go to Indy - any others?
