John is right guys. If we don't support the ones that are fighting for our right to own and carry guns there will come a day when they will want all weapons, including our bows. Join up and join the fight !
Most folks resent the NRA because they constantly hound you for donations, I left the NRA once for that very reason. Years ago they ran a special to make payments on a life membership, so here is what I did, I call and tell them I will be a member, a head to be counted, but you will get no more money, and do not waste money mailing me requests for money. They agreed, and except for an occaisional phone call, leave me alone. If you ever do decide to donate, send them a money order annonomously, othrerwise the requests will pour in. Another way to help, buy a friend, or relative a membership, its money in the NRA's pocket, and more heads to counts, which is what any lobby group wants. They have those specials now, so consider signing up someone as a gift. The NRA is the only chance we have of keeping what we got. Join now, before its too late.
After many years of regular membership I did the same thing Randy. I have been a life member for several years now. This is the time to join. God bless, José
AMEN guys. Been a life member for a long long time. Send them a donation maybe once a year. Makes me feel like I'm helping fight the fight. Just do what you can. Just sayin.
To stop getting mail from the NRA, just call NRA HQ at 703-267-1000 and ask to speak with Membership. You could also use the "800" number that is on your membership card to call and speak to a Membership Specialist to ensure you no longer receive any direct mail.
Simply ask them to remove you from the mailing list and they will do so.
