I just assumed that Martin was some large corporate conglomerate . I had no idea it was privately held by a 90 yr old man. I hope they find a buyer, preferably not some big corporation or Chinese company. But as big as Martin is I would guess the selling price is pretty steep.

Someone that knows please fill me in. Where does Larry Hatfield figure into all of this ? I thought he had bought the traditional end of Martin Archery ? Or am I thinking of another company ?

I'm not 100% sure but I think Martin bought Damon Howatt out several years ago... Larry Hatfield was the plant manager of Damon Howatt and has continued as such under the Martin name... If I'm not mistaken Martin kept the Damon Howatt plant up until a couple of years ago and then moved everything to one location...
End of an era... couldn't imagine what the $$$$ would be...
Yep, my fear would be that it gets bought up by some corporate conglomerate as in back in the day of AMF and Wing or as Bear bought by Kidde. That stuff rarely works out good.
