I got drawn for archery at Muscatatuck again this year, Oct. 27th. I also was drawn for Big Oaks, Nov. 10th&11th gun hunt. Anyone have advice for Big Oaks, I have never been there. I may also need a buddy to hunt with.

Archery hunt 27-28,gun hunt 17-18 BIG OAKS, wont be attending the gun hunt 17-18 ,thats opening weekend. My son drew Crane for dec.09 sunday, will be attending that hunt for sure thats also opening weekend of muzz.Dave Lane drew archery 20-21 ,and gun 10-11 BIG OAKS,Ill be hunting with him both dates.Plan on sitting in on lottery draw for 4th-5th gun hunts, sunday with Dave and monday with whomever i can find.Depending on which area you draw i can give you some direction and entrance points Steve.Ive hunted big oaks ALOT and know alot of the areas pretty good.Orientations take about 20 to 30 mins.,depending on your choice of area you will spend more time driving to the area than orientation takes.EAST SIDE WEST SIDE,east is close, west is farther, hunting is good on both sides.Northern areas are good as well just that much farther away from gate, but mostly big open wood and ridge.east and west mostly flat and a little thick.Ill bring a map to sept. shoot.
