I am sorry that I have not been keeping up to date on the message board lately, my truck has let me down and doing my getting around on the motorcycle. I talked to the FCCC about camping on Friday and I will have the gate open at 4:00PM and anyone wanting to come in and camp and shoot a round or 2 Friday come on up. Now I was told that they did not want alcohol so be careful, but I don't know anyone that uses the stuff anyway. Now back to shooting, we will be out shooting Friday before dark and we are going to keep it open until 4:00 or 5:00 Saturday because we have a few coming up from Kentucky. Ron and I want to thank all of you that we have had the honor to meet and shoot with and thanks for helping us find our arrows. Looking forward to seeing you all this week end.
I think I will come to the shoot this weekend just to make sure there's somebody you can out shoot! I've heard so many good things about your shoots, I am looking forward to seeing it in person. Mark Bruner
John, the Floyd County Conservation Club address is 3097 Greenville Georgetown Road Georgetown, In. 47122. Off of I-64 West or East take exit 118 for In-64 West to Georgetown go 4.1 miles to Georgetown, turn right on Church St go 430 ft and turn left onto Greenville Georgetown Rd go 1.9 miles and it is the first left after the bridge. As you start to leave Georgetown you will be going around a slight right curve, you will see a large farm supply store on the right and just past it is a large Church, turn at the Church and then left at the next stop.
Me and Ron got the 3D course bush hogged, polished and target set, now we are 2 new shooters doing everything to put this shoot on and Ron is not even a member of the FGGG. I hope it is one of the best course you have ever seen. The only way we can improve is for you to tell us what we need to do or change. We put the alley gator out on a sand bar up Indian Creek at 58 yards from the shooting point for a 50/50 target. 3 arrows fer $2.00. We will have a practice target at the same range. I think old string wax will try and out shoot me on this one, I think John might be the Turtle Man that you see on TV so going in the creek to retrieve his arrows that fell short should not be a problem. Mr flingshot I hope we can get you and bunch of other to give it a try. Guys, Ron and I are trying to come up with one of the best 3D courses that we can. We are not in this to take shooters away from another event but to promote the sport. Those of you that can make our shoot please tell us how we can make it better. We are trying to build a archery program at a gun club. We want to work with other clubs for our dates for shoots and any help and advice that you can give us will be appreciated. I would like you to give us your contact information when you sign in, phone, address, email so we can check back with you and see how we can improve. Thanks for your time. "Howie", Norman Perkins and "Midget", Ron Sillings
Norman, it is my plan to be there and fling a few shots on your range. Sounds like you guys are puting a lot of efort into it. I'll see if I can get Bear Claw Redden to come up as well.
Howie, I noticed you posted at 2:00 am. That was some late night brush hoggin
I will be there for sure Sat. I may ride up Fri evening to see what's goin on.
My advice is wear long pant's so you can help me look for arrows in the nettles It's gonna be a little warm so get hydrated early and stay that way. Coffee is not the same as water.
If people bring some stuff that they want to get rid of "now old ladies don't fit in this class, well some might fit in the want to get rid of part but we aint doing that kind of trading, and no teeth trading either. Bring you stuff and we will fing a cool spot and get it done.
Dennis I think I woke up in front of the TV with Swamp people shooting a gator around 1:00AM and I fixed me some tea and made a post. Some thing is wrong with my computer, some how the keys keep moving to other places. In one of my post I said Ronnie is doing all of this work and he is not eaven a member of FGGG. See how the G key got to where the C key use to be. Dennis don't worry about the stinging nettle, the only posible way to get a arrow in the nettle is on target 11 a down hill shot at a Leopard and you would have to hit him on the top of the back and have the arrow leave the county. The bottom land looks like a golf course. Me and Ron shot it today just wearing thongs and no shoes.
Now for you old String Wax or Turtle Man, like I told you before, I was married a year before you were born so I am not falling for none of you bad trade deals. Why would you want to sell old Jim a tooth brush? A tooth brush is for brushing teeth and Jim don't have teeth so he would have to get one hell of a deal on a brush. I seen that you and the boys might not get up here before 8:00 PM Friday, I hope that aint to late for you to do some noodling or Turtle grabbing so we can have something to eat.
I was nice in the woods today but out in the sun was another story. The darn gator left the sand bar and crawled up into the nettle to get out of the heat.
