Upcoming blanket shoot offer

This Sat. is our blanket shoot. It is one of our most fun shoots. You bring a archery, hunting or outdoor item to put on the blanket. After the shoot we pick off the blanket in the order we finished. Please bring an item you would like to win yourself. It doesn't have to be high dollar but the nicer the better. For those not wanting to be part of it,you pay your regular fee and shoot. With Dave's permission, I would like to make it a little more interesting. I want to put up a 1976 Bear Super Kodiak 50# but here's the twist (and the only way I'll do it). I don't want the same people always at the top to have the best shot at this bow so I want when we're ready to draw items for 3 dice to be rolled and the bow can't be taken before that number or later. This means 1 or 2 is out and if we roll a bigger number than the shooters we have we roll again. I just want to have fun with this. Let me know if this is agreeable. (if we have enough shooter we can roll 4 dice)

Dennis you may want to add any rules or fees I missed. I don't remember if we still pay to shoot or not?

A "76". That's the spirit. Nyuk, nyukbiggrin Sorry I saw that on the Stoogeswink

Anyway that is a very generous offer, and I understand the spirit in which it was made.

We'll ask Dave.

What's the parameter's of the item... other than outdoors... cost, etc.

And is that the cost of the shoot for that day if you participate... I've only been to 1 and I just paid and shot... didn't play and missed out

John, someone can correct me if I'm wrong but we have loosely set a value of $15.00 if it's a new item and valued at around $20 if used. What I'm not sure of is if you have an item for the blanket, do you still pay the shoot fee. Someone can get on here and clarify this for us.

As I understand it, the item you bring for the blanket is your shoot fee as long as youre a member

We had a great shoot today. The rain held off and the course was set great. We had a good turnout with many taking part in the blanket part of the shoot. I wanted to let everyone know that I didn't withdraw my offer to put the bear bow on the blanket but the club decided not to allow it because they didn't want any prizes with "strings" attached to become part of these shoots. But.... all went well and I think everyone was happy as good prizes were placed on the blanket.
