John, the way you talk it looks to me that you should've brought one of them Navajo women with you
Randy the only difference is that we can fight our women in court, but Navajo women own it all: house, land, livestock, etc. We don't stand a chance
By the way, last time I was at the Res., June 2011, there was an autographed picture in the OR lounge of the girl that played the indian squaw in my favorite western movie The outlaw Josey Wales. She is Navajo from the Chinle area.
God bless,
José

Jose', she didn't look too good in the movie, and looks way rougher now. I look at my Brother-in-law's divorce..., he must be Navajo, he didn't stand a chance either.
Oh damn, you're living in a van down by the river.

Hell, I think the spot next to us is empty still. Well anyway welcome to the neighborhood. You gotta groom your neighbors down there. Lots o' good cookin' going on in the evenings. I'll have to introduce you around. Couple "nice " ladies down in that part of "town".

I'll fill you in on the details next weekend but you'll like the hunting down there. They just revised the hunting rules but for you it won't matter much. Muzzleloaders and TRAD archery only ! It sometimes gets a bit crowded(not really) during Firearms season but during ar chery you'll have the place to yourself. Same for squirrels. Property lines well marked (I should know I did it ). Introduce yourself to the gals in the office, they are the best. They think I hung the moon so use me as a reference. You'll eventually run into Winston Roland. Past President, moved down there when he retired. Fun guy and a shotgunner.

I ran into Winston the first day. He expounded at length about soaking his flints in wd-40 and sharpening them with a diamond file. They have wi-fi? where? I tried to get that spot next to you, but someone reserves it for the shoot, and they won't lease it yearly.
There is WiFi at the clubhouse. I don't know if they leave it on at all times or just during the shoots. I do know that some ladies were camping down there a couple weeks back and said they got reception all the way up to the blockhouse . I have gotten it sometimes from our campsite. The plan is to put it in the new Education Building too but not sure when. They have WiFi at the Office but it might be encrypted. Ask the gals about that. If you get hungry for good pizza, the little store at Cross Plains has good ones. Two stores at Cross Plains, the one next to Post Office is the one. They throw a fine breakfast too. The store at Friendship used to have a good cheap samich, not s sure if they still do. Hang around there long enough and you'll run into Knothead. His brother Whitey owns the garage and body shop. Knothead knows where all the deer are and where you might find some hunting if the NMLRA property bores you. (600 acres and I doubt you can hunt it out). The you may run into Mo. Knothead and Whitey's brother. Mo always carries at least 3 pistols and as many as 6. I'm not making the names up. All 3 good people. If you get into the Bank, introduce yourself to Jim Lemon, owns the bank. He knows every piece of property in the 3 county area. Put on some old tennis shoes and ply the waters of Laughery Creek. Goggle Eye and Smallmouth.

So John, are you gonna be there for an extended period??? Only about 20 mins from downtown Friendship. I'd second what Tim says...The Tavern can get a little rough through the week, but great food and plenty of like minded biker types to swap stories with and whatever else you choose to swap. Great country there...the fishing up and down laughery and all it's feeder creeks is a great way to pass the time. Tons of smallies, rock bass and spots.
