I found it.. It's out by Elk Creek Lake. very VERY Beautiful country. lots of public land along knobstone trail.. just south of there at the top of the hill is Amish country.. Tons of deer and turkey. Good fishing in the lake also! just across the county line is cabin fever. they have a 3d range you can pay and shoot anytime. its just a few miles from that house.. You REALLY need to go look at that one!

Todd and Dennis: I am cleaning out the freezer, so am baking a turkey breast for tomorrow, and I Might bring some bread. If you want anything with it, bring your own
Hey Todd: Do you know where this is? http://www.cbmcmahan.com/property/property.asp?PRM_MLSNumber=201201439&PRM_MlsName=SouthernIN&VAR_AgentCode=&VAR_OfficeCode
I know that area John. I agree with Todd. Great fishing lake nearby (I've fished there numerous times and always been the only one there.) Plus the Jackson /Washington State Forest is oh so close. Generally good folks out that way.Close to Scottsburg too. Far enough away from Cowles to keep him as a friend.

I really like that area of the country as well... it can be pretty rough in spots... hilly rough, but it sure is beautiful... I backpacked north from Elk Creek toward Hwy 56 and would have sworn in some places had I not known better I was in the "Smokies"... Never fished Elk Creek, but like Tim, the times I've backpacked around there I've never seen more than 1 or 2 boats on the lake...
No, taking Jackson to a Hunter Ed course. That road (old 56) is that at the top of the hill there at Fleenortown . Looked like it from Google Earth. If so the Knobstone must be real close to that house. I'd bet there's some good hunting along that trail. That is so wild and wooly I doubt it gets hunted a lot.

Had a great time. Got to shoot with Mr. Nail and Dale. Then went out with an ITBA bunch and had our own coon shoot. It was a lot of fun. Set around the camp fire with friends. Did a bow swap, sold a set of limbs, had breakfast with the group. It was a great time, can't wait for the next.

Redtail, you also sold a rifle ! I'll befin the first of 60 installment payments starting in May, providing I can find that piece of paper with you're address. Oh well, no hurry.
Seriously, it was good to see everybody, even if it was just briefly. Finnally got in at 9:00 pm. I'm pooped.
Randy, great job setting up the shoot. It was excellent, has quickly became a tradition for the area. Which I could have shot the course more but the rain stopped that, thanks
Jonathan, can't believe you didn't mention buying another Elberg (from Dale). I think you make have some kind of sickness?? I believe Dale has it too, when I left he was standing at BigJim's ordering a Bear Takedown. I think we all need help.
(forgot to mention Chris and Milk's crew. A lot of new bows in their camps)
