Books for kids

I asked this same question over on Trad Gang. Most of you know that Jackson is plumb ate up with bows, guns, hunting, etc. He needs to read more as he is having trouble with it. Can any of you recommend  some good books for a 10yr  old boy relative to the outdoors. I believe that if it were a subject he was really interested in he might want to read more.Even at my age I don't like reading stuff that bores me, a kid can't be much different.

I remember reading "Hatchet" by Gary Paulson when I was a kid... don't remember much about it but it being an adventure... long time ago...

"Two Against the North" (Lost in the Barrens) was the original title by Farley Mowat - this one was probably my favorite when about 5th or 6th grade...

I also remember partially Jack London's "Call of the Wild" and "Fang"

I'll second Hatchet! Drew loved it and he's not a reader...Paulson has a whole series of books that are outdoor, adventure, hunting themed.
