Angie and I have been at the hospital with baby Karissa since early Sunday morning, she has a fever from an as of now undiagnosed infection. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.
They have nailed it down to a darned ol urinary tract infection, I suppose that's really pretty good news considering all the other stuff they tested for. They tried and failed at a half dozen spinal taps; did heart scans, renal scans, I can't even remember all they've done to her the last few days. It's a whirlwind to have such a young baby going through all this. We did nearly the same thing with Dustin when he was four days old.
The drugs seem to be working but those strong antibiotics are hard on a baby, especially a nursing newborn (and mom).
The plans are to bring Karissa and Mom home tomorrow, I'll post another update.
