Can sometimes be difficult. I got a wild hair a couple weeks ago, and rode my motorcycle to Illinois, then to Wisconsin, up along the Mississippi river on hwy 35--which was dissappointing because of the yuppie traffic, low speed limits and law enforcement--across Wisconsin on hwy 8, then across the UP of Michigan via hwy2. Michigan charged me $3.80 to ride across the Mackinaw bridge?!? You'd think it would be paid for by now. Rode back roads South back home. About 1865 miles
Dennis, as I remember, you were pretty Jiggy with the Flora when we went to Oklahoma. So...what are the short green bushes along the shore on Lake Michigan? Pictures here.

HeeHee, Grayling is hardly a city. Maybe a town I guess.
The flowers in the first pict. are Punctureweed. An invasive from Europe. All across the eastern US. Bad news if mixed in hay and eaten. By livestock, that is
Sounds like a fun trip John, my back is hurtin just thinkin about 1800 miles on a bike. How many days did this trip take? I have a buddy that rides to Sturgis every year, last year by himself. He rode 850 miles in one day coming back. I CAN'T DO THAT ! I have rode most of the Blue ridge Parkway in VA, and NC, thats a scenic trip. If I was you I would have turned back at Mackinaw Bridge and rode back through UP,MN and IL to get out of that toll
Randy, I was 4 days on that trip. Rode 647 miles the last day because they forecast thunder-boomers. I have ridden over 7000 miles since May.......I can't seem to stop in the right place.
"Puncture weed!" See, I knew Dennis would know the name 'o them Flares! Good thing I didn't run over them!

you could have flashing strobe lights, a garrison flag flying and fireworks going off, and some ******* would still turn left in front of you. Better than rotting in a hospital bed, I guess.
I know one thing it was a pleasure shooting with you at sippeo shoot john had a great time me and sputter dont get much company out on most ranges with fellow trad shooters we had a ggod time and you even got us looken in to wood arrows!
Few years back I was coming back from a hunt in WY. I was driving my old Dakota truck. A sweet little thing, V8 and 5 on the floor. I was a few hundred miles east of Sturgis (the Pilgrimage had ended a few days earlier) and heard this roar of some vehicle that was going to pass me. I thought it was a truck, but to my amazement this humongous bike slowly overtakes me and passes me. I swear that thing was as long as my truck; a lone, husky rider sitting on top of a Ford V8 engine was riding this monster. That's right, that bike had a Ford car V8 engine doing all the work.
