Bon Temps!

Well I had a good time today. Rainy, but you'll have that. We had a pretty big group, and at times it was a cluster %$#, but I think everybody enjoyed it. Highlight of the day was when Tim's grandson made about a 20 yard shot on the lion through a bunch of crap.

Rumour is Dennis was low-rating my women?? I have to take exception to that! I've had some pretty ones, even if they were cazy.

I ran into the guy who owns the property. He's complaining about you guys shooting holes in his trees at the leapord  shot.........

Oh, and giant accolades to the guy who brought the egg/muffin things. Good stuff!!

He could put McDonald's out of business with those.biggrinbiggrin

I had a great time. Can't believe that we made it around without getting wet. My first shoot without glasses (LASIK surgey thursday). Things were a little fuzzy but I did ok. Got home and shot the bow I won on the table. A John French bow, it shoots well and looks great. Thanks John, when was this bow made? I also have a bow made by Tim Hamlin, and now one of John's. Thanks guys! steve

Uncle John was the only one who seen Jackson make the shot. Grampa was busy BSing with Cowles or somebody. But I did see the arrow in the target and Bub standing there with a big grin on his face. Fell and slipped in the mud on my ass after ricocheting a X7 Cobalt off into space , never to be seen again. But it's all good. Jackson picked up an old Lynch turkey call off the prize table. Turns out Jay Mellencamp brought it. #102 , 1958 edition, "3 hole ". 'Bout $50-60 on auction sites. I told Jackson to take care of it and maybe someday he could call and harvest as many turkeys as Jay did with it over the years.

Unlike some of your so-called "buddies" I wasn't gonna tell about the ass/mud thing.

You'll have to video record them if you want him to see it.

I shot with Jose, Ronnie Mack, and Billy. I heard about those trick shots.yawn

The video I would want to see is Tim doing a swan dive in the mud. That would be worth money on that one TV showbiggrin

It was over between targets 2 and 3. That trough through there kind of reminded me of the TV ad for a waterpark.

John, I know some african tribes would compleatly cover theirselves in mud before a big hunt or whatever. I'll bet that was all Tim was doin, being as he likes things the old fashioned, traditional way.

Oh, that reminds me. How did that ILYF, Feta, Dlala hold up in all that rain and mud? Did you have to run it thru the carwash on the way home? confuse

I don't know, you said you shot with Jose. You'd have to ask him.

Jose shot well with that bow. None of us kept score but he did good I thought.

I swore him to secreacy down at the Trad Fest, to not tell anyone but I looked at that bow. Even held it in my hand. Everyone says they shoot good.

I guess I'm just a selfbow nut. I really don't see how anything can compare.
