Who is the little guy and where did he get his bow? I need to get a bow for my grandson in FL, he is 4. I was hoping that the guy that makes children would be there. I am going to have to wait for Compton's because I can not make Cloverdale this year.
It's a Samick Polaris Jose. They come in 48 and 54 " The 48 model is around $90 the 54 a bit more. Lancaster Archery sells them. You used to find for sell at 3 Rivers the Cartel bow for kids. It too used Samick limbs. That's what my grandson has.(54") I wanted to get him the Samick but he was stuck on that blue Cartel riser. I got him 20# limbs but he will need 30# pretty soon. You can buy new limbs for either bow for about $40. You can buy smaller recurves like the Little Angel but truthfully I find them more a novelty. Most kids about 5 or 6 can pull a 48" Polaris with light limbs.

Thanks Tim. I will check LA. I did not want to get him one of those "toys" bows but something that he can use for a few years. What you suggest is exactly what I am looking for. I had dinner with a guy at Cloverdale last year and he makes kids bows, but he was not there yesterday. What you suggest is better because you can change limbs as they grow up.
God bless,
José

From the looks of the scores..., did we set the course too tough? Jesse Arnold kept insisting we needed to "challenge" the competition guys or there would be a bunch of tie scores, looks like that was not a problem ! I don't think ties ussually are a problem with the 10,8,5 scoring.
Guys, be honest and critique the set up for a better next year. Too tough?
Of course anyone shooting for fun is welcome to "stalk" up to a comfortable distance, so this is directed at the competition classes.
I thought it was a great shoot. The coarse was tough but not rediculous. If I had to pick something to complain about it would be " Bonus " targets. What happened to the plain ole straight 30 target competition coarse. Guess I'm old fashion. Or............before someone else says it,just plain old. My 2 cents.

We probably did get carried away with bonus targets. We just had a lot of extra targets, and I guess thats why it happened. I would still like to see 1 on each course as a bonus. The steel turkey would be allright, but the fellow that made it put the kill in the wrong location. It was a donated target, so I guess I should not look a gift horse in the mouth.
The economy being what it is I don't relish destroying carbon arrows or any arrows for that matter. Your score should not be penalised because someone doesn't want to destroy an arrow. My $ 4.00 worth.
