Lew Church Longbow

Have a Lew Church longbow for sale if anyone is interested. Bought new in '92. Black glass, I believe walnut core. Hard shooter, straight limbs, 55lbs at 28". Doesn't get used and is collecting dust!

Length? Grip? Bring it Saturday, if you're coming.

Is Lew still alive? He didn't look good last time I saw him.

John-not sure. I saw him at a shoot a couple years ago and he looked bad.

Tim-he made my longbow and a leather/suede quiver I still use. My bow is a straigt limbed, narrow gripped longbow, shallow shlef cut into it. Only issue with it is that I have had to re-glue one of the overlays on the limb tip. He also made a reflex/deflex longbow for a buddy of mine. We went to his house near Bedford Ky and bought them. He used to have ads in some of the old TBM's. Bought mine in '92.

I saw Brad at a shoot back in Jan. I asked him to check with his brother Bill who always came to the club with Lew. He said he check and find out how Lews doing.

I only saw his selfbows.

he came to a shoot with his grandson during very hot weather a few years ago. Got pale as a ghost and they left. Havn't seen him since.

$100.00 takes it home. Gonna use the cash towards a hog hunt in Tx with Drew over spring break.

JR, I can't imagine you undercover in ANY kind of vehicledoh

Well, I bought the bow. Lew made a real good copy of an early Hill-style. Smooth as silk, and not much handshock. Woody took good care of it, and a little Montana pitch blend, paste wax and a new Dacron string has her singing a sweet tune!smile

Tim, it's actually right on 55 at my draw. I didn't buy it to shoot, but because I liked Lew and shooting with him. wish I knew if he's still alive.
