Just got back from Friendship

Looks like the last shoot was a good'un.

I saw Dennis and his kin while down there as well as Richard Clark an lady friend.

This blind hog found another acorn this week. I won the National Flintlock Valley Aggregate again (last time in 2001) and got another great rifle for the effort. A .40 cal Lancaster flintlock rifle. Very nice if I do say so. Can I tote this on the squirrel  hunt???

This is Dennis. That rifle is beautiful. By all means, bring it along. You can hunt with Dan. Later DEN DEN

It's the "National Flintlock Valley Aggregate" The name comes from the fact that all the Primitive events at Friendship are shot up this real pretty valley we have there.

It's the combined scores from the Flint Pistol match, the Fer Du Lac ( paper target designed by the late Max Vickery) match, the Mountain Man match (5 shots from the rifle with hawk and knife throwing thrown in. One shot is shooting the edge of an axe and splitting the ball in two, breaking two clay birds, and building a fire with flint and steel) the Flintlock Seneca (traversing a 300 yd course while stopping at designated areas and shooting 5 targets while being timed)and the Flint Smoothbore match (5shots at steel targets, 3 shots at clay birds on the wing and throwing the hawk and knife again.

I can't say I shot the best in my life but shot better than the rest that week.

Man, that's real cool, sounds like a lot of fun to boot. I had a feeling there was more to it than punching holes in paper.

Again, Congrats, and thanks for explaining
