Just covered the grass here. A bunch went up to Potaka this morning for ML season. Ron said it snowed hard and then turned to rain. Everybody left by mid day except Billy, who stayed in.
I was gonna go to the camp for a little but E- wind won't work there. Stayed home and had navy bean soup and butterscotch cookies
Woke up to an inch on the ground this morning, kind of a mix all day, a good 2 inches on the ground now and it's still snowin. I'll be out in the morning just not sure if i'm carryin the bow or the smoke pole.

Yes, but it's a dry cold .LOL My record is -25. I did spend a night in the club's cabin when it got to -16. Only a fireplace for heat. Had a jug of water sitting on the hearth. It froze solid.

I don't remember the coldest I been outside. I know we had a couple shoots where it said 5 deg on the bank in Scottsburg.
I fished at the falls once when it was down around zero. The sauger were running and I wasn't the only one there. When I got home I couldn't unzip my coat. The zipper was incased in ice from the water spray.
Went steelhead fishing up in Ontario once with a buddy of mine, my brother and his buddy. They lived up that way in Mi. When we crossed the border we each bought a case of LaBatts beer in the duty free store. I had no idea at the time but it takes an incredible amount of beer to steelhead fish. When we pulled in the campground there was a ditch right next to us that had a couple feet of snow in it. My brother said stick all them beers down in that snow. I said this is great it will keep our beer cold for free. He said no that's to keep it from freezing
I tried deer huntin in 0 deg with crusty snow once. You couldn't sit stlll and you couldn't move
A friend told me on the phone one time he was up on a lake that day, up around Grayling and it was below 0, and a blizzard was going on. He said you won't belive what he seen. Said some vehicles pulled in and a bunch of crazy dang bird watchers got out. I said uhmm what were you doing there and he said, oh I was ice fishing
The old-time loggers in Northern Wisconsin used dug-outs to keep their horses. When they would lead them outside on Winter mornings, they would look at the Horse's noses. If they bled, they knew it was too cold to work.
Even a bird has enough sense to go South for the Winter.
Back When I first started deer hunting My brother and I went hunting in the snow and 4 degree weather as we headed back to the truck later that day I thought I would loosen up by drawing my bow afew times. Back then I was shooting a 78 lbs. compound. Well........ I could not get it back, I was so stiff. What the heck was I thinking, too cold to be hunting anyway.
