I'm there all week. Stop by, I may be there but can't promise. If you get down somewhat early , I'll likely be in camp.My camp is 621 but it's easier to find this way-- On the southside of the creek is the large Education Building(big metal building, can't miss it) Driving or walking East past the building, 2nd driveway to the left, second camp on the left. Everyone is welcome.

Cool... I have a breakfast meeting in L-ville that am... so it will be mid-morning... I'll swing by and check...

Have you ever found any tanned beaver tail up there... I've been looking for some to do some bows with...

Yep, there's a lady over in the flea market who sells all kinds of tanned and dried wild stuff. She has snake skins, dried skulls , just everything. I think Dennis bought a beaver tail from her a few years ago. It's the flea market East of the range, about 2nd or 3rd aisle from the top.

Jon, me and Ronald went up today. I looked all over for Tim but couldn't find him. We didn't go to his camper.

The lady he's talking about dosen't have bever tail. Back by the gator skins on the wall are some shark skins that I looked at. I'm not sure about the quality so I didn't get any. There are also some stingray skins that look like great handel wrap, but the only colors she had out were red and white.

One thing she does have are western diamondbacks cheap. Those things used to be $30.00 each. Now she has a big box of skins for $5.00 and $10.00. You really have to look thru them to find matched pairs that are long enough with no holes. I wish I had more moneyhmm

Thanks for the heads up Dennis...

I'm supposed to have several beaver tails set back for me... but I've not run into the guys yet that were saving them for me... They'll have to be tanned, etc... I love the feel on bow handles...

I'm taking a vacation day... I have a bunch to burn before the end of the year and I've not been to Friendship since the spring after my dad died... that was one of his favorite places on earth... he loved to go up and wander around looking at all the wares, etc.

Jonathan

PS The weather looks about perfect for the week... I even saw a night at 49 listed... oh baby... it's getting better all the time!
