Hey Billy,

Not that far down... I was just down past the boat a few miles...

That's a nice bird... I was glad mine didn't weigh anymore than it did... pain in the butt carrying it out with the blind... my rackpack... decoy's... calls... and the "kitchen sink" that I manage to take with me...

There was a kid that checked one in just after I did that had three beards... never shot a multi-beard bird... like to do that one day wink.gif

Hope to see you all at the state shoot... been a mess around here with work and family obligations...

Jonathan

PS Jose, are you going to be at the State Shoot in May? If so I'll bring my new finds up...

Well I'll see if I just can't make a special attempt to be there in June as well Jose...

I'm not scheduled to preach till the next weekend and we'll be in the new building for two weeks before that so I should barring any family stuff I'll plan on seeing you there...

Jonathan

PS Now that season's over for me... I'm going to work on shooting this 64" Special and getting it tuned in...

that's not far from my lease. I've been able to go 1 time so far and the highlight of my trip was talking to Dennis and his lovely wife at Bass Pro. It's hard for me to get in the mood to hunt ,seems wrong somehow because it's not fall plus all the rain doesn't help

Thanks guys...

Joe this turkey hunting has flat ruined me... I used to fish all the time and I never go anymore... too busy chasing these crazy birds and then it gets too hot for me to enjoy it...

I had a buddy take those pics... I thought he did a great job... some neat equipment and stuff to pose around...

Hope to see you all in May...

Jonathan

how tall is your blind John.I have been seriously thinking about taking a tom with my curve, but have not found a blind tall enough for me and a 62in. bow to fit inside let alone shoot out of.Thought about building a blind out of ceders ,limbs, logs but have not found the time to do so yet. Evans landing has a beach ball srutting in the cemetary just about everyday from sunup to about 11,but will probably stay alive as long as he stays out there . But its game on if he steps in the woodline up the hill abit.

Billy,

I have the recurve version of the Double Bull... I'm almost 6' and I can stand in the center of the blind... When I was shooting the curve last year... had to watch what I was doing shooting the bow vertical 58" and close to the side... I've heard of guys that can shoot a 68" longbow out of them... but I know I couldn't...

I know some of the Ameristeps at one time you could about hide a car in... so you might look into those...

Sounds like a smart bird... Ha! Especially with you watching...

The other Tom that was with the one I shot looked like someone had shot a hole through his fan... big part of it missing...

Steve... the difference is our board is free or really inexpensive where Tradgang and Stickbow have massive servers, etc...

I'd like to see your video of your bird...

Jonathan

I'm sorry Steve... I miss understood you to mean having video on the website... Sorry!

I think it would be great to have some of our guys and hunts... I have 30 minutes of a bird on opening day that I watched for 1.5 hours between 30-40 yards... He just wouldn't commit... and then probably 6-7 minutes on the bird I shot and the ones he was with...

I'm still trying to find the cableing to get it off the Camera... I borrowed the church's camera and now I can't find the cords I need... We just moved all our offices last week so it may never be found... And I'm too cheap to go buy what I need wink.gif I have bows and arrows to buy!!!
