Talk to Todd if you come up Sat. He Knows a lot about Bear bows. There's another guy named Kevin that comes to some shoots that you could talk to also.
I pretty much know kodiaks from1959 to 1966 the other 50s bows i have trouble wth but I know some big collecters that can tell me the diffrence. After 1966 they were called and had wrote on them super kodiaks. when nelson grumley made the first bows of this style he called them deerslayer(he was Fred Bears bowyer till 1950) but kodiaks were made from 1950 to 1966! Dont know if ill be there sat turkey season starts in KY but i may wait and go mon when the weekenders r back at work and come to the shoot. explain blanket shoot? Ima rookie in the ITBA J.R. Chappell Thanks Dennis
The blanket shoot is where you bring a prize instead of your shoot fee. All prizes go on a table. If it's a new item it should be worth $10.00 or a used item should be worth $20.00. There is no upper limit so there might be a 64 Kodiak on the table. Not likely though Anyway all scores are tabulated and at the end of the shoot the top scorer get's first pick. Whoever comes in 2nd gets next pick. It goes that way on down the line. You don't have to be in the blanket shoot if you don't want, just pay your shoot fee. At least I think that's how it goes.
