I wanted to let everyone know that I have sold my house. I am closing Friday afternoon. With the economy, I still have my fingers crossed, but all should go well.
I am moving away to split my time between Florida and some time in Wva. This move will allow me to semi-retire and have the freedom to do more of what I like. I leave with a lot of mixed feelings, for many years my friends have been ITBA and Kentucky Traditional Archery. That I will miss. There is traditional archery in both Florida and Wva. I will shoot with them.
I do plan on coming back several times this year to see my kids and will try and make a few shoots.
I'll keepin touch on this site,
Steve
(PS. Denis I may make the BassPro shoot next week before I leave)
Hate to hear about you moving away Steve, and so does Dennis, because now he will catch 100% of my flack now, because you used to catch 50% of it, lightening the load on him ! Seriously, we've had good fun, at least I have. Guess we can catch up once a year at the TBOF shoot, at least the first day.Seems we wind up in a different class for day 2 I know you've been wanting this for a while, so best of luck to ya, just send some pics of that WV mountain hideaway, and some of that beeeeeuuutifull Florida scenery, called Pam.
Good luck to you! I am still dreaming about my retirement. Maybe next year...
Where in FL and where in WV? I travel to FL several times a year: aging parents and part of my grandchildren. Now and then I go to shoots in Huntington.
Are you gonna be having a big yard sale ? I've always heard about $10 Bear Recurves and such at yard sales. Just wondering .

Dennis, I hope to come up to enough shoots that you will really wonder if I'm gone or not.
Randy, Some how I don't think I will ever get away from you. I've had a good time to. I know at times some wonder if we're going to have a throw down right on the spot.
Jose, East of Beckley Wva, out 64, accross the new river and on a Mountian top. Outside of Orlando toward Daytona.
John, I know we are old but we are aging like fine wine. Split finger or not we can still hold our own.
I have quite a bit of work to do at my place in Wva (to make it worthy of quests) but there is trout fishing in the creeks, small mouth fishing and white water rafting in the NewRiver. ATV riding. Deer and turkey on my place. I hope my friends will take advantage of it and come use it like their own (Randy will have to have a background check ran). Plus Traditional Bowhunters of Southern Wva is 30 minutes away.
Steve, good luck! It's been a pleasure knowing you. Hope to see ya at some shoots sometime.
And John, you are much older than me, but I was with the club back when it was at Hardy Lake and I still shoot split finger. So you still have an allie!!!!

Steve, I plan to come to you're place and play, now that you let the location slip. I promise I won't bother you, like talking, tickling, blowing in you're ear, shaking trees, etc. while you're shooting. Don't pay any attention to those background checks...., its lies, all lies !
Randy, Steve says I can't get by the Homeland Security Background check either, but I think it's a bluff, or they never would have sold the place to him anyways!LOL! I do plan on visiting the compound and staying in touch. Good luck buddy! The rabbit hounds miss you already!
