One very proud dad! 11 year old son Drew got his first bow kill Saturday morning! 7 pointer came in around 7:00am, ten yards. Happened so quick...Quartered away. He rushed the shot a little bit, hit back and high, but as luck would have it, the broadhead sliced thru a major artery. Deer went about 200 yards and he tracked it the entire way across a cut bean field, into some CRP stuff and finally where it fell dead into a thicket. Young eyes never lost the blood trail. Found the arrow about a150 yards into the track and it was an easy trail from that point on. He used a 35lb Colt recurve that I got off ebay a couple years ago, cedar shaft and a Delta head! Way to go Drew!!!
