Smoked bird...

Hey all,

I tried something new this year for turkey season... As some of you know my father passed away with cancer in January at age 66... He had for the past couple years wanted to attempt to kill a spring gobbler with a muzzleloading shotgun... He was never able to work up a load that was satisfactory to him...

Sooooo... I thought I'd give it a try in his honor this spring...

19 1/2 lb.; 10 3/4 beard and 23 1/2 mm spurs... Killed the am in Jefferson Co with a Thompson Center New Englander 12 ga...

Pretty wild having the bird disappear in smoke!

Thanks for listening to me ramble...
