All I have to show for a day of hunting...........

Jack and I

John Nail , my grandson Jack  and I went squirrel hunting yesterday. Took my pup. Between the unfinished pup and the Grandson we didn't see many squirrels, and I guess I already knew that. But we roamed the woods and still enjoyed it. John took this picture of us.
As we were walking back to our trucks I saw a squirrel run up one of the big maples where the old house used to sit. Just three trees out in the middle of nothing.Anyway , we flung a bunch of arrows until he jumped to the ground and lit into a brushpile. That's it, saw one squirrel, and that after walking 100 acres .

Good on you boys!

The little guy's smile says it all! He had more fun than you two combined.

God bless,

Jose

Well, I forgot something else I got. Found , floating in our pond , one of those archery targets like they sell at WalMart. You know, the foam blocks with plastic cover , covered in bullseyes. Real good shape too. Don't know where it came from. Nearest house is a long ways. Must have blown out of a truck and the howling winds the other night put it in the pond.
