Jose,I'm not that type of bowyer. The price is not that bad but, it's usually hard to tell exactly what your getting off e-bay. Being relatively soft wood I would think the grain would be pretty critical on walnut used for risers. See if Redtail sees this. He would know more. DEN
I have no problem with the price. It seems about right. Like Dennis, I have a problem not seeing it before I buy. I believe you can do just a well at a local shop (on price) and know what your getting.
I have used sone Walnut and it was Ok but I had one piece that split in the hot box. Thats my only experience.
Thanks for the offer. I have a piece in the rough: a section of a tree that was blown down by a storm. I need to find me a saw to cut it. I just saw that on ebay and wondered if it was OK.
To answer your question, yes I am planning on using a slab of osage I have and I thought a piece of walnut will look good as a handle.
I probably have some walnut for that Jose. I keep most of the trimmings from my gun building.

Well, you don't need that many bows anyway, and as far as fast women are concerned, I don't see how giving away the occasional stool would be all the costly.

You are lucky indeed, old coon! With all the money my retirement account has lost I imagine I will have to work another 5 years. Although I can stay afloat with working about 5-6 monts of the year because I do not have any parasites -read children- to support.
Let's say we make plans to go to NM for next january 2010. We have to get all these hunts planned and done because according to the mayas calendar the end is near: 21 december 2012!
