Well, I finally got to hunt today. Went to Brush Creek and set up in an old, familiar place. At 8am, two forkies came past just like the plan. I decided the largest one was perfect freezer meat. The shot was 12 yards, but I couldn't see the sweet spot through the brush. I picked a leaf in the right place, and at the last possible moment thought that was wrong and shifted my focus to the deer ( where it should have been all along) and SHOT COMPLETELY OVER IT'S BACK. Yes, at 12 yards. Go ahead, yuk it up........
That's why they call it deer hunting instead of deer slaughtering, John!LOL!I've missed a couple even with a compound ( Back when I would use one) at that distance. I'll bet you get the next one. Bryan
