dennes , i got my hickory bow up to 55# @ 27 now . i had to cut an inch off each end and put some bend in the ends. seems pretty fast for hickory . i also have 2 osage bows im about done with . one is 60" and 55# @ 27, and the other one is 56" and 47# @ 27 . i think i'll give the 55#osage bow to jim later this week when i get it sealed. it seams to be the fastest of the 3, but the hickory looks the coolest and we all know thats the most important thing!
That hickory bow would be good to stand under if you get caught out in the rain. Actually a couple people could shelter under it.
I know Jim shot real high poundage when he was younger. I don't think 55# would be too much for him. Still remind me not to stand directly behind him the first time he draws it.
here they are hickory 1st . i checked the weight agin after shooting it alot yesterday and its about 52# now . im still happy with that next is the 55# osage i plan to give jim this last one is still aways from done but here it is. 56" osage and no backing. i know there all ugly but thats what makes them so
