Need a glove recommendation

My old Berlin deerskin glove is nearing it's end. I have been told by some that the new ones are not the quality of the old ones. But some say the opposite. I really like my glove now and would like to have another like it. But I am looking at the one with cordura tips too. They say it's the old Berlin with synthetic tips. Any thoughts?

Tim, I have several new gloves. If you can use size large, you can take yer pick. If you want, we can get together and stump shoot at your farm, and you can try 'em out. Email me if you want to do that. We might even get John French to come along and give us lessons.aww.gif

I have been planning to go to the farm this Saturday, just to check things out. Wanna do some stumpin'? Nail what are you shooting" And French, if you want to join in, we can ride over together.John Nail doesn't live that far away from there.Be a good warmup for the State Shoot. I'll try to get ahold of Steve Williams to see if he wants to join us.

I'm still stuck on the pea-shooter, but it'll kill a stump.
you guys let me know. PS: is there any place in Seymour that sells coleman camp ovens? They're about $30, and you use them with your camp stove.

They show up at Walmart now and then. I have an old one (not Coleman) that I bought at a farm sale about 25 yrs ago. It's insulated, the Colemans are not. They work well enough.Best bet would be have Dennis pick you one up at Bass Pro down there.

I have one squirrel left, and planned a noble end for him, but can't find a campfire oven around here.

Guys, it's supposed to be a good day Saturday, but rain crappily(not a word in KY) the rest of the time.

John. The squirrell pie sounds good but if you want to fry up a mess of crapplie fillets, that would be ok too.

Dennis, I'll fry them if you cook them. No fishing around here.

Jose, there will be several of us up there all day Friday setting up. I usually come home that evening. Dale and Tim might be there. DEN

I'll be there Friday Jose. Dale usually camps too. WE have had a sort of tradition the last few years of going into town that night to the Chinese restaurant for dinner. You would be most welcome as well as anyone else. The rest of the night is sitting around and BSing.

John you can use my oven, no problem.

OK. Where are we camping? I have a 15x12 screen room if you think we'll need it for the skeeters. I'll be sleeping in the Van.

Down by the lake in the "campground". Skeeters were not a problem last year. Might be a bit too early. It got cool enough last year that I fired up my Buddy Heater to warm the van before getting up. Cool enough at night that a jacket felt good. I'll be in my van too.
I plan to make a large pot of stew or such for dinner on Saturday night.Anything else anyone wants to throw in is great. I'll have the coffee pot for mornings. Still thinking about breakfast. Usually a cup of Joe and a danish works for me.
Looking forward to it, always do (even when it's colder than heck)

Chinese sounds good to me.

Where is the restaurant, in case I am late?

I will be in Lebanon during the day. I am going to visit with David Miller to order a new bow. I should be back late afternoon to early evening.

God bless,

Jose

Not sure how familiar with Scottsburg you are but Hiway 56 runs East to West thru town. The eatery is just before you get to the Intersection of US 31 and 56. It used to be a KFC. The Ace Hardware is behind it.
