That bow I was working on (see below) ? Well, I screwed around and got a hinge in it and in order to work it out I lost tons of weight. I have no use for such a bow, so I'm thinking about a "recuperation" bow for you. 'bout what weight would be good ? It's at 35# right now bit I think if I hug down on the bamboo a lot I can get it maybe around 20-25 # maybe lower. What say you ? Once you are back in good health we can give it to some kid. If interested, you'd need to go to HD or Lowes and get some 1/4 " shafts. I have nocks and points.

thanks, Tim, but I have a 25lb recurve sitting here ready. I read your post on leatherwall where it hinged on you. Too bad, I really liked the Reflex/Deflex you had in it. Make one of your Grandkids happy. Thanks again, John
John, I have it at 24# right now and if I take off any more it will be nothing but a piece of bamboo. I have the osage very thin.I think it's bottomed out .

1/4 " ramin shafts ought to be about right. I've made lots of kid's arrows from them. I have the pints and nocks if you need 'em.

I made some from Ramin. I have a thousand (literally) 9/32 nocks and bought some of the 30 gr and 60gr points from 3Rivers. If you ever need nocks, don't buy any! I made a good buy on a ton of them.
