Any kind of stickbow that pulls 10/15lbs at 28" I will pay with Green Money. I have a 25lb recurve, but it hurt me on the second shot
I tried to make one out of a 5/8th Ramin dowell, but it broke at 17" (and 15lbs) Probably because it was only 48" long. I can't split those big staves with this broke splitter.
john make one of them pvc pipe bows or i have a mullberry bow i was making that came out way to light . you can have it and bring it down to whatever # you like ? it is shaped and has a shelf cut in it but i never tillered it becouse it was to light
Get on ebay and buy one of those little Bear "red bear" solid fiberglass recurves. I think they are about 20# at 25 ". They can be had for $20-$25 bucks, and really don't shoot too bad. I had one that I saved my pennies to buy at Western Auto when I was about 12 years old. Guees it walked away in one of Mom's yard sales, so I replaced it for the occaisions when a child might need one. You kinda fit that class John !
