i have a bunch of 1"oak boards. seems to shoot pretty good . was so windy out today i couldn't really tell how the arrows were flyin but it seemed to hit where i was lookin :)
Looks good, I wonder about the compression qualities of white oak, I would imagine they are good enough. Shoot - who cares as long as it'll fling an arra.
John, keep an eye on the belly about 1/3 of the way up from the tips. If the bamboo overpowers the oak, you'll begin to notice chrysals there. Otherwise, I believe oak to shoot as fast as 'sage
