RE: Bow building bee

This is Dennis. I would vote for July. It 's farther away from Cloverdale and Friendship. I think we used to have our 2 day the week after Cloverdale and some people couldn't be gone two weekends in a row. I,ll plan to attend either date though.

Hi Guys. Chris let me know about this. I'd love to do it but summer sucks for me as far as anything else. I have something scheduled almost every weekend and I need at least a couple at home for peace of mind. I hope you get the chance to make it happen. Most Saturdays that I am home, I am working in the shop (half of my garage) on Indy's Southside if anyone ever wants to come over for a couple hours. When the weather's nice, I often sit on the back patio and whittle on something.

Thanks Chris for letting me know. Sorry I can't make it.

I'll give you fellers a week to figger and plan but looks like june 27,28,29 is our first option. July 11,12,13 is our next safest bet.
I'm favorin June to be honest its a month from both Mojam and the classic in Tennessee.
Sound off folks we gotta start plannin.
Sorry you can't make it John, just drop off your bandsaw on Friday and your absence will be forgiven!smile

Right now I'd say either weekend is good for me, unless something comes up I have to work, I am going to try and be there.

Well, fellers we got it penciled in on July 12th and 13th. We are working on getting a club member to sponsor it.
We are gonna have to charge $2 a head( anyone 16 and older)] to cover the cost of renting the grounds for the weekend ($50). We are also toying with the idea of renting a 20'x40' tent in case we have rain or wanna get outta the sun, either of which are pretty good odds in July. The admission cost will go to cover the tent rental as well.
It looks like we got ourselves a wooden bow fest folks! Me and Jim were thinkin we oughtta call it the Critney - Parker Morgantown bow wang dang doodle!
Seriously though we do need a name for it.

Chris

Alright July it is. I talked to Billy last night and he said him and Ron McD would be interested. Doyle said he'd have to check the calender, but it sounds good to him. I'll ask Ronald If I see him in the morning. Tim can you make this one? DEN

We have a sponsor from within the club, all we have to do now is go to a club meeting, give our proposal , get all our questions answered , give them the money and we are rolling!
My wife is a computer guru and she said she would make a flyer so I can take it to Tennessee with me ,come the first weekend of next month. After I have a bunch printed I can mail copies( Or e-mail a file) to anyone interested in having them so we can get the word out to a wider area. You can hang 'em up in the local turkey check-in stations or anyplace hunter types frequent .
She's also gonna set up an internet site with all the pertinent info so folks won't have to call for directions and stuff.
I'll get the website up here as soon as its runnin.

You can have the best one in the pile Bryan. 'Course my best osage is way worse than some I've seen but better than others.
Lets really try to get the word out for this thing . I'd like to have it take off and be an annual event.
