Waaaah!!!

 Well, I can't pull a 40lb longbow! I can't stand not being able to shoot, so ordered a 35lb cheapo 66" recurve.
Can Some of you target guys, suggest a spine carbon for it? I pull 28 1/2 (or at least I did before I fell on the ice)furious

John if you can find them long enough some of the carbon guys use kid's arrows on lighter bows.Carbon Express makes the Thunder Storm (I think it's called) in 29" shaft length at about 8 grs per inch. They also make some fiberglass arrows for kids that come up to 30". Kelly's old place has Gordon 'glass shafts shown on his website that might fill the bill. Pretty cheap too.

thanks John, but I wouldn't know what spine to get. Probably around 40. Hell, I may just go buy some 5/16 dowels at the hardware store.

I ain't found a carbon weak enough for a 35# bow, but 1916 aluminums work good, and they are plentiful

I have lots of 1916s but figured they'd be too stiff.

I have been shooting them out of a 45# bear k-mag, and they work good with 100 gr points cut 28" at my 26-27" draw, I feel like they do good for you at a longer draw from a lighter bow, even if you had to leave 'em long, or add more point weight. You know how it is, just gotta play with it. Good luck with the bum shoulder.

I'd say Randy has it. Maybe a 1916 with a 145 gr point ? Or leave 'em long.
