The shoot

It was cold, windy, and rained on and off all day. What a glorious day for a 3Dbiggrin We all had a good time, and had a pretty good turn out. Catfish shot one of the best primative scores I've ever seen. I met a long lost cousin. The target set was well thought out.

The most amazing thing though was the osage bow that Jim was shooting. Tim I commend you. That is one of the best shootin, nicest looking bows I've seen anywhere. And I've seen a lot.

Hope everyone can make the next shoot. DEN

Me and Curtiss Cardinal drove over from Princeton and met a couple of guys from the KTBA club. The rain cooperated long enough to let us shoot a round. I managed to get me a Robinhood also smileRobinhoodRobihood 1

Hope it works out for Jim. That was the first I ever made like that. Wish I could have squeezed another few pounds out of it but sometimes them's the breaks I guess. I had to go to the gun club today but shall be at the next bow shoot hopefully. I took along a bow to the gun shoot and went hunting afterwards. Jumped up two does but nothing more.Season's about over guys.

It would appear that I may be able to make the shoot on the 19th. Been so long since I've been there, I may have to look for the place!

Well, I'll tell you something. I've made a wood bow for Jim Cowles who is reported to be shooting it very well. Cat Fishon is shooting a wood bow very well. Then you have Gary Miller, and Jeff T when he comes, and so on and so on. I'm thinking I may as well go ahead and make the jump to Longbow or Recurve. I can get my butt kicked there for the same price and I don't have to be made fun of for getting beat by my own bows.

Drew and I raced thru the course in record time, beat the rain. As usual, my shooting stunk, but that little stinker burned it up shooting between the green and blue stakes with a 328! Makes me sick...

Shoot, in my gun shooting days I have been beat by women, kids, old men, a guy with one arm, a guy with one eye, a guy with one foot and various sundry others. I expect nothing else anymore.
