just wondering how everyone is doing. my son has shoot 2 small ones but i'm still holding out for a big one . below is his 1st trad kill and a couple i shot with my camera
dennis, i'm sure they were to small or you would have hit them . i missed a big doe sunday. it was about 30 yd broadside and looking at me when i let loose. i think see saw my arrow coming at her ,arrow looked good but she droped down just befor it got to her . i think i need to make a faster bow..... lol you still coming to bowfest??? good luck john f
I was near a back corner of a cornfield where it met a wooded hill. There was a cut bean field behind me. I was well hidden down in a dry creek. I was expecting a deer to come down the brushy creek on the corn side for a perfect 3yd shot. Turkeys started launching out of the trees on the hill about daylight. About an hour later a group came out of the woods and started feeding in the cut cornfield about 15yds away. I picked out the biggest, closest one and shot. It hit the dirt right under it. I was so well hidden that they didn't know what to do, and went back feeding. I carefully got out another arrow and raised my bow and the closest turk caught movement and started looking. I shot at one that was near. After that they ran off. I went and found both arrows. Clean miss. Tell Paul Congrats. I'll try and make bowfest. DEN
