my first try at cresting. 10 of 12 are the same . lol... will it matter how i line the nocks up with the grain in the wood ???

Are those the ash arrows?
There is a preferable way to align the nocks but I'd have to show you.

dennis, these are ceder tapperd shafts . and my arrows would feel safer if you do try to hit them !!!

that longbow ain't used to pretty arrows. It may act up!

Like John said the grain orientation on the top of the arrow should be >>>>point of arrow. The reason is that if the arrow were to break it breaks up and away from your hand. As he said the parallel grain ==== should go against the bow.

Those sure are pretty arrows. Enjoy. They may be safe with Dennis shooting at them, but John can do some damage. That man can shoot!
