anyone have plans on how to build one of those bow vises you sit on ? i think your weight is what clamps the stave while you work it. i found a nice mullburry that wants to be a bow, but need a way to work it outside under shade tree.
This is Dennis. I think John had one that was professionally made for sale a couple of years ago. I don't know if he still has it. My advice is try one first and see if you like it. I never could get one to work good for me. Mabey I was sitting on it backwards or something. You can probably find plans for one on the net somewhere. If I was gonna make something I belive I would go with a good steady workbench. Mine is made with treated lumber and it's ratchet strapped to my shade tree. With it I can work on bows, clean fish, and work on my weedeater. Try that with a bow horse.
