This sounds like fun............
(Preview)
I cut and pasted this from over on Trad Gang. Ideas for shoots. Might make a good one for the two day shoot. "Shop-Vac on reverse suspending a ping pong ball on the air column. You have to restrict the air intake on the vac but it's really cool when set up right. We use this one as a novelty shoot at our cl...

Trying a new small game points idea
(Preview)
Been working on these today. I cut the face of the field points with a file and then turned them down until I got a press fit for the washer. I went ahead and soldered the washers too.Somebody on Trad Gang was doing this with points he bought somewhere. Someone said Martin had them but I could not find them...

Birds
(Preview)
Well, there's not much to do when the snow covers everything. Even the dog doesn't want to go far. So this has been one of those days of deep contemplation, and lessons learned from the bird feeder.
It seems that the T...

Saturday's shoot
(Preview)
Well, I can't speak for everyone, but the group I was with sure had a good time. The highlight of our round was when Dennis fell into the Prickly Ash bush. Sure glad he wasn't hurt. It seemed to limber him up so he shot better after that.
Jim Cowles was "on" and shot well, but he missed his buddy F...

Lots-o-arrows
(Preview)
I reckon a man ought to bring plenty of arrows Saturday. Any miss is sure to lose an arrow. Dennis, you'd better lobby for LARGE targets.I do wish there was someone local who could plow out the drive though, for those 2 wheel drive challenged.

Just got this off the tiller tree. Once I finish sanding it should be 50# Osage slat with bamboo back. The accent wood is ? I forgot. Padauk maybe ? I'll use the same on the tip overlays. I done this different than the Torges video.Rather than bending the reflex / deflex in a clamp jig, I heat bended the r/d...

(Preview)
Got 'er done. I tried something different on the grip. Didn't want to cover up the pretty wood with leather. Still need to shoot it some to find the nocking point but shot 4 arrows thru it this morning (COLD !). 4 arrows and 2 broke nocks. It'll do.

be careful guys especially shoveling snow. I've lost 1 friend this week and don't need to be reading about losing anyone else. As we get older we still think that we can do stuff as our minds say yes but our bodies just ain't up to it. So PLEASE be carefull and leave the shoveling up to the younguns
