This is Dennis. Looks like the makings of a pie

The squirrels have moved in over on the creek. Took the dogs for a walk over in the park just up stream Sat morn a little after daylight, about 7:30, and every big beach had squirrels tearing them up. I mean I saw about 20 trees that had cuttins raining down. Swung by the camp on the way home and they were in those beach trees also. I hunted two evenings and one morning and had squirrels over me the whole time and didn't get a shot Those trees are so tall I dont think you could reach them with a turkey gun. They were in one oak also, and it looks like a good year for acorns. It'll be better over there when they start coming down to the ground.

Dang son! Who mows all that grass. DEN

Dennis, I mow it. Couple acres. I let the other 5 grow up in Quail....Rumour has it that your dogs find lost arrows at the club? Chad told me the fellow wasn't too happy about it.

If those dogs find an arrow they must have a propensity for alternative lifestyles of some fashion. They also must have lots of pink paint, a fondness of daisies, and chartreuse feathers. But since they can't do any of those things it must fall back on the owner.I'll bet he reads LEO too.

This is Dennis. John, what a great idea. I've been mowing about every three days since April, what with all the rain we've gotten. The mosquitos are so bad that they follow me in clouds. When I make the upwind turn they fly back across the yard and wait for me to come back around. Next year I'm turning it all into quail habitat.

Oliver can find arrows no matter how hopelessly lost. I don't know how he does it. He can be pretty rough on the arrow though. When we were at the shoot he was showing off finding arrows and bit down on a aluminum, and didn't like it. Ever since then he just indicates and is not too keen to bite down. He did mangle some feathers on one arrow, but i figure he just didn't like banana cut.

Tim, crawl back under your rock. DEN

I figure you can take him to major shoots, and find enough lost arrows to pay for the trip. Sorta like finding golf balls and selling them..

John, I can go the day after a major shoot, and never buy arrows again.
