I've not had a chance to even get out yet... this new fall break in the balanced calendar down here throws me for the first couple weeks... visiting kids at college, etc. while the wife is off school... I'd hoped to go this am... but... good thing I didn't waste the time... the place I was going was logged... I knew it... but had no idea that was cut as bad as it was... and just a month ago... so the deer are a bit "wigged" out... went out for a walk this afternoon around the place... and very little deer movement with all the recent activity...

Yep, that's why I'm up at 4:30 am. 

I went out tonight for the first time in a week and a half. I saw a bunch of chipmunks and a squirrel so fat it looked like a ground hog climbing a tree. He's been cleaning up on acorns this fall. My Dad grazed a decent buck yesterday evening. He said it was harassing a few does in the field before he shot at it. I'm heading out tomorrow morning.

I've been out a few times but I'm not seeing much at all. Woodpeckers, racoons, and squirrels top the list so far for me. I saw one deer last weekend, a small doe, that was probably 100 yards away. Other than than nothing but beautiful woods, which ain't so bad.

Been out a few times so far this year. Had some turkeys sneak in on me and had me wishing I bought my fall tag. 

Had a few encounters with some does but none came in to my comfort zone so the hunt is still on. Be my second year hunting traditional only so just going to stay at it.

It's been to hot and windy. I'm ready for some cooler weather.

I had a small buck chase a doe past me yesterday. He was grunting the entire time. Several new bucks are hitting the big scrape in the corner of our field. A couple of big ones showed up on camera. They are still visiting at dark. It won't be long before they come out to play in the daylight.

This buck has a messed up left side.  I think its a 6x3

I had a little 4 pointer ran a doe off this afternoon. But this weekend I seen more deers seems like they are starting to move more. Just not getting close to me are given me a good shot. 

Shot a 9 Point Buck last night, but didn't find it till this morning. Got him with my new bow " Black Beauty".
