Bare shaft tuning question

I've got a batch of 25 bamboo arrow shafts I've been working on lately.  Today I bare shaft tested them out of a few bows.  About half of the shafts shot straight out of an osage bow that I plan on hunting with this fall.  I shot the other shafts out of 2 recurves.  One is a 48" Indian stalker.  It's a heavy little bow.  The other one is a longer Damon Howatt Balboa.  It feels about 10 lbs lighter than the Indian.  When I shot the shafts out of the DH Balboa they showed to weak spined.  When I shot the same shafts out of the heavier Indian about half shot straight and half showed to heavy spined.  This is the first time I've done any bare shaft testing and I can't figure out why they show weak out of the light bow and stiff out of the heavier bow.  Can somebody explain this to me?

most likely it has to do with the amount of bending the the shafts are going through on each bow. what is the difference in the cut to center in each bow ?

I think they are both center shot

You may have to tune each bow different to get better flight some times just a little change in brace hight and or knocking point can make a big difference.

I think I figured out what is going on with the difference in arrow spine. The lighter bow has a thin fast flight string on it. The heavier bow has a thick string. I think its B-50. That is the only thing I can think of that would make the lighter bow need stiffer arrows. I never realized the string could affect the arrow spine that much.

That is a big difference between the two bows for sure and would make a difference in tuning the the bows to shoot the same arrows.
